Meet The Twins Behind The Blog……..

 

Twin sisters and Mississippi natives Ashley E. and Amy Nicole’s love for writing and storytelling started at an early age. After graduating from college and working a few years in their fields, they decided to take an alternate career route to pursue their passions. They combined their writing talents and love for music and film which resulted in the creation of “The Double Scoop.”

The sisters previously worked as production assistants at Reel2Real Productions in Columbia, South Carolina where they assisted with live events, television shows and commercials.  They are former contributors  and hosts for Atlanta based Inspire Magazine and the Inspire Magazine music podcast. The twins are also former brand ambassadors for XONecole.

In the fall of 2017 they launched their own web show in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their goal for the show is to provide a platform for creatives and entrepreneurs to showcase their work and talents, and to engage in open dialogue regarding various topics.   

The Double Scoop will continue to expand to include social and networking events, merchandise and a platform for independent films. The duo is currently working on their first film projects set to be completed by the end of 2018. As the company grows the sisters plan to utilize their resources in a way that will bring empowerment to the black community.
